Hinton – Summers County used a strong defensive effort to stifle Bluefield and earn a 54-20 sectional victory Tuesday in Hinton.
The Lady Bobcats gave up just seven points in the first half of the win.
Gracie Harvey led the charge with 22 points while Abby Persinger netted 10.
Cara Brown led Bluefield with six point in the loss.
Summers will travel to Wyoming East on Thursday, hoping to upset the Lady Warriors for the second straight season in New Richmond.

Maggie Boroski led the Mavericks with 28 points while Mya Dunlap netted 18. Abby Mathis added 16, Mary Beth Meadows 11 and Ava Dunlap 10 in the win.
Tay Wray led Mount View with 15 points.
James Monroe will host River View Thursday in the sectional championship.

Charity Reichard added eight points for the Wildcats who travel to Greenbrier West Friday night for the sectional championship game.
