Coal City – Independence’s offense kept rolling Monday as the Patriots secured a 15-1 win over Liberty in Coal City.
Orion Wills drove in four runs while Blake Stratton and Cole Cunningham collected three RBIs each.
Reid Warden added a home run in the win.
Brayden Kiblinger collected the win on the bump, limiting Liberty to one hit in the win.
James Monroe 13, PikeView 3 (5 innings)
Gardner – James Monroe scored four runs in the first innings and rolled past PikeView 13-3 in five innings Monday.
Peyton Gardinier had two hits, including a double and five RBI to pace the Mavericks, while Cooper Ridgeway and Justin Feamster had two RBI each.
Gardinier, Ridgeway, Feamster and Kadyn Hines all had a double in the win.
Carson Koen grabbed the win, allowing no earned runs and only five hits.
Drew Damewood had two hits for the Panthers.
Oak Hill 2, Beckley 0
Oak Hill – Oak Hill senior Jayden McClain scattered seven hits, struck out 11 and allowed no runs in a 2-0 win over Beckley (12-11) Monday at Jerry Epperly Field.
Hunter Elswick had a double and an RBI for the Red Devils who managed only three hits in the win.
Chase Tolliver had three hits for Beckley, while Gage Price had a double and Maddex Sims collected two hits.
Brady Williams was the tough luck loser surrendering no earned runs and fanning seven Red Devils.
