FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Mount Nebo woman is facing felony charges in Fayette County. Sheriff Mike Fridley provides the following information regarding this incident.
Just after 3:00 pm on June 10, 2024, deputies conducted routine patrols in the Miller Ridge and Sunday Road areas. Deputies stopped a vehicle for a minor traffic violation. As deputies approached the vehicle, they did see numerous loose pills in the passenger seat, as well as various containers and tubing consistent with the production of methamphetamine, at the driver’s feet. Upon further search of the vehicle, more items were found that were consistent with the manufacturing of narcotics.
Cindy L. Chittum, 51, of Mt Nebo, is charged with the felony offense of Operating/Attempting to Operate Clandestine Drug Laboratories, Possession of Substances to be Used as a Precursor to the Manufacture of Methamphetamine or Another Controlled Substance, as well as the misdemeanor offenses of No Seatbelt, and Driving While License Suspended.
Chittum was transported to Southern Regional Jail to await further court proceedings.
