KANAWHA CITY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One West Virginia man has been arrested for stabbing and killing another man.
According to a criminal complaint, on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, Charleston Police officers were dispatched to the area of GoMart and McDonald’s in Kanawha City for a stabbing.
Upon arrival police located the victim, 35-year-old Nick M. Hodge, lying on the ground bleeding from his abdominal area.
Witnesses on the scene advised officers that the suspect, 25-year-old William Selbe of Charleston, had stabbed Hodge and fled the scene.
Officers were able to determine Selbe’s address and located him at his residence where he was arrested.
Selbe admitted to stabbing Hodge two times following a physical altercation leading to his death.
Selbe has been charged with Murder. He is currently being held at South Central Regional Jail without bond.
