HICO, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Fayette County man has been arrested after trapping his girlfriend and threatening to kill her.
According to Fayette County Chief Deputy Shannon Morris, around 2 AM on July 24, 2024, deputies received a call from a concerned father.
His son had phoned him, threatening to kill his girlfriend. Deputies quickly responded to the scene and located the individuals involved.
The girlfriend reported to deputies that her boyfriend had trapped her and her vehicle at Midland Trail High School, preventing her from leaving.
During the altercation, the boyfriend threw a lit cigarette at her, broke her phone, and shoved her against her vehicle.
He also made threats, stating that the next person who made him feel that way, he would kill.
She was only able to leave after the father called the boyfriend, informing him that law enforcement had been notified.
Dustin Coleman, 27, of Hico, is now facing a felony charge of Kidnapping.
Additionally, he has been charged with the misdemeanor offenses of Domestic Battery, Domestic Assault, and Destruction of Property.
