BOONE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Early Tuesday morning, police responded to a domestic battery incident at 47 Edge Brook Lane, where an altercation between two women resulted in one being arrested.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the complainant, who reported that she and her sister-in-law, identified as Beuliah Blevins, had been involved in a physical altercation. According to the complainant, the fight began shortly after her son left for work around 6 a.m. She stated that Blevins began yelling and causing a disturbance, waking everyone in the home. When asked to quiet down, Blevins allegedly approached the complainant aggressively, leading to a physical confrontation.
The complainant claimed that she pushed Blevins away in self-defense, fearing an attack. In response, Blevins allegedly pushed her down onto a loveseat and struck her multiple times. The complainant sustained minor injuries, including a cut above her right eye and an abrasion on her right foot.
Officers also spoke with Blevins, who stated she acted in self-defense after being shoved by the complainant. Blevins had visible scratches on her chin and an abrasion on her hand.
A witness on the scene corroborated the complainant’s account, stating that Blevins initiated the altercation.
Based on the investigation, injuries observed, and witness statements, officers determined there was probable cause to arrest Blevins for domestic battery. She was transported to the Boone County Sheriff’s Department for booking.
