BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Community members made their way to Downtown Beckley on Tuesday evening to partake in the festivities of Woodrow Wilson High School’s 2024 Homecoming Parade.
Disagreeable weather affecting the Raleigh County area recently remained at bay for the event, which saw floats, musicians, emergency vehicles, and Homecoming Court participants pass by rows of enthusiastic spectators.
The procession made its way from Park Middle School at 6:30pm on Tuesday, proceeding to Park Avenue, 3rd Avenue, and eventually Neville Street.
From there, participants made their way uptown, turning onto N. Fayette Street and then onto Prince Street before bringing the procession to a stop at Leslie C. Gates Boulevard.
Beckley Police Department members were on the scene of the event, maintaining order and ensuring residents were able to safely make their way home afterwards.
Woodrow Wilson High School will be hosting the school’s 2024 Homecoming matchup on Friday against Preston.
