BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – It was a hot one over the weekend as Beckley Events hosted the city’s 33rd Annual Chili Night event.
Over 60 total vendors could be found set up through the Uptown and Downtown areas of the city, with local businesses and organizations offering up their best chili for sampling by members of the community.
Live entertainment was provided for the yearly event by half a dozen acts featuring some of the areas most accomplished musicians. Among those who performed were the Piney Creek Canyon Band, Thomas Danley, Seeking Altitude, and more. Little ones in attendance worked up an appetite enjoying free bounce house and slide inflatables.
Along with over thirty vendors serving up helpings of the delicious entrée from which the community event takes its name, dozens of on-site vendors were set up for Beckley’s 33rd Annual Chili Night to offer everything from drinks and snacks to crafts and prizes.
Announced during the event was the winner of Hospice of Southern West Virginia’s “Cruisin’ for a Cause” raffle, which saw Lana Hypes announced as the lucky winner to walk away with a classic 1983 El Camino.
“We have immense gratitude for all those that bought a ticket and entered the raffle supporting Hospice of Southern WV. Your donations to this raffle will touch many individuals facing terminal illness,” said Hospice of Southern West Virginia in a statement. “Your support allows us to provide care that meets the physical, social, and emotional needs of each person and their loved ones.“
