HARRISON COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – On Sunday, October 13, 2024, a routine traffic stop on Interstate 79 near Bridgeport, Harrison County, led to the arrest of a Charleston man for drug-related charges. Trooper I.L. Bowman of the West Virginia State Police conducted the stop after noticing the vehicle was operating as an Uber.
During the stop, Trooper Bowman identified the passenger as 33-year-old Gregory Lindsey of Charleston, WV. Upon further investigation, Bowman discovered methamphetamine in Lindsey’s backpack with an estimated street value of approximately $63,000.
Lindsey was immediately arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver. Authorities confirmed that the investigation remains active and ongoing.
This arrest highlights the ongoing battle against drug trafficking in the region, with law enforcement continuing to monitor transportation routes like I-79 for illicit activity. Further details on the case have not yet been released.
