PUTNAM COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A girlfriend was arrested after she bit her boyfriend multiple times, including biting a chunk of his cheek off his face, which required 60 stitches.
On September 26, 2024, officers responded to a stolen property report at 707 Point Ridge Road in Scott Depot. Upon arrival, they made contact with Edward Lee Harless, who reported that his girlfriend, Diana Lynn Alford, had taken his pistol from his truck following a physical altercation outside Bogey’s Bar.
Harless claimed that during the dispute, Alford had bitten him multiple times, including on his face, forearm, and ear, causing severe injuries. He noted that Alford bit a chunk of his cheek to his face, which required around 60 stitches. Harless also provided a folder containing photos of his injuries and showed officers a video of Alford in the woods near his home.
The video revealed a struggle between the two in the driver’s seat of the truck, with Alford eventually pulling Harless by the arm as he tried to escape. The footage also showed Alford returning to the vehicle and walking away with what appeared to be the stolen pistol.
The case remains under investigation, with Alford facing charges related to the assault and the theft of the firearm.
