MOUNT HOPE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Mount Hope Housing Authority has announced it will close its waiting list for three-bedroom apartments. Applications will no longer be accepted after December 20, 2024.

Mount Hope Housing Authority, West Virginia, offers housing opportunities to serve residents of the City of Mount Hope and Fayette County. Established in 1937 as one of the first public housing authorities in West Virginia, it is governed by a five-member Board of Commissioners.
They provide public housing for eligible low-income families, persons with disabilities, and the elderly. It administers 135 Public Housing Units and does not offer HCV (Housing Choice Vouchers), previously Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers. The housing programs are income-based, and the eligibility guidelines are set by HUD (United States Department of Housing and Urban Development).
