Nitro – The No. 6 Wildcats ran past No. 11 Shady Spring 41-7 in a game marred by multiple personal foul penalties and ejections.
Five Nitro players and two Tigers were ejected before the game was finally halted with 8:35 to play in the contest.
Eli Littlejohn ran for three touchdowns for the Wildcats, while Josh Moody passed for two scores and ran one as well in the win.
The Shady Spring score came in the first quarter on a 26-yard pass from Cal Culicerto to Jalon Bailey which tied the game at 7-7.
Nitro advances to the quarterfinals where it will play No. 3 Bridgeport.
