CALHOUN COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A tragic single-vehicle accident on Sunday claimed the life of a Fleming, Ohio man on US Route 33/119 near Arnoldsburg in Calhoun County.
Senior Trooper Miller and Trooper Warden of the West Virginia State Police responded to the crash at approximately 860 Arnoldsburg Road. Emergency Medical Services on the scene identified the driver as 56-year-old Allen Schrader, who was pronounced deceased upon their arrival.
Preliminary findings from surveillance footage revealed that the vehicle was traveling westbound when it exited a parking lot, struck a telephone pole, and overturned.
The West Virginia Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death. Sergeant Williams of the Crash Reconstruction Unit (CRU) has been notified and will assist with the ongoing investigation.
