FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – BASE jumping will not occur at Bridge Day this year.
The coordinator for BASE jumping said that due to available health care from COVID-19 and the strain it’s causing on hospitals, they have decided not to hold BASE jumping.
The committee met last week and voted to continue with Bridge Day in a 4-2 vote, despite health concerns and short hospital staffing.
Next week, there will be another meeting, and the board will hold another vote on whether or not Bridge Day will be canceled altogether.
