PILOT MOUNTAIN, NC (LOOTPRESS) – Nearly 50 firefighters are battling a wildfire at Pilot Mountain State Park in NC.
According to Pilot Mountain Volunteer Fire Department says crews are working to control a wildfire that began on Saturday. Currently, the fire has grown to 100 acres. At this time, the origin of the fire is unknown. The campground at the park has been evacuated without any injuries or damages.
Firefighters would like to give thanks to NC Forestry Service, Pilot Mountain State Park Rangers, Pinnacle VFD, South Surry VFD, Double Creek VFD, Westfield VFD, Bannertown VFD, Shoals VFD, and Fall Creek VFD.
