Hurricane – Prior to this year Savannah Hawkins from Hurricane and Kerri-Anne Cook from Oceana had each hoisted the W.Va. Junior Amateur trophy once each in the last two seasons.
Tuesday afternoon in rainy conditions, it again was the two standout players battling down the stretch for 2022 title at Sleepy Hollow Country Club.
This time around it was Hawkins who pulled out a narrow one-shot victory to take home the 2022 title.
On the boys side, first round leader Bryson Beaver from Elkview held on for a one-shot win over Bobby Kincaid from Nampa, ID.
Anderson Goldman from Charleston came home third and Tanner Vest from Shady Spring was fourth.
