Below are the candidates for the Week 2 Award.
- Dominick Collins, Princeton – Collins hauled in nine passes for 178 yards and three touchdowns in a 28-7 win at Bluefield Friday night. For good measure, the electric playmaker also picked off a pass that halted a 52-yard Bluefield drive.
- Darmonte Mitchell, Beckley – Mitchell had a performance that will forever live in Beckley-East lore. Mitchell turned 19 carries into 276 yards and five touchdowns as the Flying Eagles beat their rivals 49-21 to improve to 2-0.
- Ty Nickell, Greenbrier West – It was business as usual for the all-state senior as he compiled 166 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 carries as the Cavaliers soundly beat Summers County 26-0.
- Trey Bowers, Independence – Bowers was 10-of-19 passing with two touchdowns, throwing for 257 yards in a win over Class AAA Oak Hill. For good measure he added 58 yards and another score on eight carries in the 40-0 victory.

- Cody Harrell, Midland Trail – Harrell hauled in six passes for 142 yards and a touchdown in Midland Trail’s 42-3 win over Tolsia Friday.
