Elderly man dead after being trapped under back wheel of a tractor

ELKINS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A fatality has been confirmed in relation to a farming accident in the Elkins area.

According to reports from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Elbon and other deputies responded to a 911 call on Friday, October 7, 2022 which brought them to the 7 Pine View Dr area of Elkins. 

Here, officers discovered an elderly man trapped beneath the back wheel of a farm tractor behind the 7 Pine View Dr residence. 

Though the Elkins Fire Department and Randolph County Emergency Services also responded and assisted on the accident, the man ultimately passed away due to the extent of the strain placed on his chest and neck area by the tractor. 

No further details have been made available at this as to how the incident occurred.
