MONTGOMERY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Fayette County woman is in jail after using a woman’s bank card fraudulently.
According to court documents, Jennifer Thomas, a nursing assistant at Montgomery General Hospital, was assigned to take basic care of an older adult. The victim asked Thomas to help purchase personal essentials while she was confined to her bed and recovering from her illness. On 22 separate occasions, Thomas took possession of the victim’s card and withdrew 3,446 dollars from a teller machine located at the hospital.
Thomas is charged with financial exploitation of an older adult, grand larceny, and fraud with an access device.
She is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 25,000 dollar bond.
