OAK HILL, WV (LOOTPRESS) – An Oak Hill man faces charges after exposing himself in his yard and threatening to kill police officers.
Oak Hill Police say they were dispatched to Boley Street in Oak Hill for an indecent exposure complaint. When officers arrived, Jeffrey B. Witt was instructed several times to go inside or to put his pants on due to his penis being exposed. Mr. Witt refused to comply with the orders and threatened to kill the two officers.
Mr. Witt started to become violent and began charging at the officers. One officer deployed their taser, but that didn’t stop him. A second taser was shot, which partially incapacitated Witt. Witt began to retreat to an outbuilding and still refused to comply with orders. Officers had to deploy a taser again to get him to lie down so they could arrest him.
Witt was charged with indecent exposure, two counts of assaulting an officer and obstructing an officer. He is currently out on bond.
This is not Witt’s first time in trouble with the law. Before this arrest, in July 2019, he was arrested for entering without breaking. In March 2019, Witt was charged with domestic battery and malicious wounding.
