HUNTINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One woman has been arrested after cursing at officers after they told her to leash up her pit bull that was circling them.
According to a criminal complaint, at approximately 9:36 PM while issuing tickets on an unrelated matter in the 600 block of 11th Street in Huntington, officers were approached by Katelyn Nicole Willey, who was walking an unmuzzled and unleashed pit bull.
Ms. Willey began speaking to the subjects the officers were writing a ticket to as the dog began circling the two officers.
Officers informed Ms. Willey she would need to get a leash for the dog, she then became agitated and began arguing with one of the officers. At this time, officers instructed Ms. Willey to take the dog and step away.
Ms. Willey replied with curses, including “f***”, in the presence of numerous onlookers, continuing to be hostile.
Ms. Willey was taken into custody without incident and is being charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing an officer. She is currently out on bond.
