CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Due to the incoming snowstorm, Sunday’s Amtrak Cardinal 50 and 51 have been canceled through West Virginia.
According to Amtrak, the 50 Cardinal from Chicago to New York and 51 Cardinal from New York to Chicago have been canceled.
This cancellation is just a series of announced cancellations by Amtrak as a winter storm is set to bring ice and snow to the Midwest and eastern U.S.
The Amtrak Cardinal serves the communities of Huntington, Charleston, Montgomery, Thurmond, Prince, Hinton, Alderson, and White Sulphur Springs in West Virginia.
Most areas of southern and northern West Virginia are under a Winter Storm Watch for the storm which is predicted to bring multiple inches of snow and light ice.
