BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – New River Gorge Regional Development Authority Director of Strategic Redevelopment, Andy Davis will be speaking at the West Virginia Hub Federal Community Development Funding and Grant Writing Training set to take place at the Tamarack Conference Center.
New River Gorge Regional Development Authority Executive Director, Jina Belcher notes that the sessions will feature applicable examples of area projects which saw involvement from multiple funding agencies.
“Andy will offer real-time examples of regional projects that involved multiple funding agencies and are symbolic of the types of opportunities West Virginia leaders are pursuing,” said Belcher. “We appreciate the West Virginia Hub sponsoring this valuable federal funding and grant writing training.”
The two-day training will provide valuable skills and resources to be used toward the enhancement of community development initiatives. Day 1 of the training will feature experts eager to share their knowledge and experience regarding funding resources on both the federal and state levels.
Day 2 will present an extensive training session over the course of a full day on how best to seek out, identify, and secure federal grants. The training, which is expected to run for five hours, will offer multiple technical resources, one-on-one grant development support, and examples of successful language used in grant writing.
