RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Beckley man is arrested after deputies say he sexually assaulted a woman and murdered her.
According to the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department, in mid-August, Tonya Adkins was reported missing by her family to the Beckley Police Department. Â Through their investigation it was determined that she was last seen outside their jurisdiction. Â Detectives with the Raleigh County Sherri’s Office took over the investigation.
Detectives located Ms. Adkins remains in a wooded area off New River Dr. on Wednesday, September 8th. Â Based on the investigation, detectives arrested Ronald Jerry McClung for the murder and sexual assault of Ms. Adkins.
