BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Man arrested after shooting his boyfriend in the chest.
On Monday, November 15, 2021, at 12:03 a.m., Officers from the Beckley Police Department responded to a shooting that had just occurred inside of a residence at 109 Quarry Street.
Upon arrival, officer located a twenty-seven-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest. Officers began performing life-saving measures on the victim until he was transported to a local hospital by Emergency Services Personnel. The victim remains in the hospital in critical condition.”
Officers located twenty-five-year-old Kyle Slaughter inside the residence, and he was taken into custody without incident. Slaughter has been charged with Malicious Wounding, and two-counts of Wanton Endangerment with a Firearm.
Slaughter and the victim were in an intimate relationship and this incident is the result of a domestic dispute. Slaughter was transported to the Southern Regional Jail pending his initial appearance before a Magistrate.
