GREENBRIER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Greenbrier County Sheriff Bart Baker announced that Chief Deputy Joshua Martin was officially sworn into his role on Tuesday by the Honorable Patrick Via, Circuit Judge of Greenbrier County.
Chief Martin, who has been with the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office since April 2023, holds the permanent rank of captain and previously served as Chief Deputy under former Sheriff Sloan. With over 20 years of dedicated service, Martin has been recognized for his commitment and leadership within the department.
“Chief Martin has served the Sheriff’s Office honorably, faithfully, and with distinction for over two decades,” Sheriff Baker stated. “He did an outstanding job for Sheriff Sloan and has my full faith and confidence. I look forward to working with Chief Martin to provide the best possible services to the citizens and visitors of Greenbrier County.”
As Chief Deputy, Martin will continue playing a vital role in the Sheriff’s Office, ensuring public safety and overseeing law enforcement operations throughout the county.
