PRINCETON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Community Improvement Commission for the City of Princeton has announced the return of the “Make It Sparkle, Princeton!” decorating contest.
The competition, now in its fourth year, will once again offer cash prizes to city businesses who participate by decorating their storefronts. The contest is open to all businesses with a brick & mortar location.
Those who register will be expected to provide the name of the business in question, the business address, and a photo of the decorated storefront. This information can be emailed to c.mabe@princetonwv.gov. Registration can also occur over the phone by reaching out to (304) 920-5796.
Contest registration will close at midnight on December 18, 2024, and judging will take place the following day on December 19, 2024. Judging will be based on several elements including creativity, theme, execution, and attractiveness. The storefront photo which receives the greatest number of “likes” on the City of Princeton Facebook page will be the recipient of the contest’s “People’s Choice” award.
Cash prizes will be awarded to entrants for first, second, and third place, as well as for “People’s Choice,” in the amounts of $500, $250, $100, and $150, respectively.
The announcement of the contest winners will occur at 1:00pm on December 20, 2024. Prices will be awarded to business owners or an equivalent local representative shortly following the announcement. Winners will be selected by judges who themselves have been independently selected by the Princeton Community Improvement Commission.
