FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Fayette County Board of Education has a new member.
Joshua Crist of Ansted was sworn in by the Honorable Judge Tom Ewing Monday evening as the newest member of the Fayette County Board of Education.
Crist was joined by family for his swearing-in and first meeting as a member of the board.
Crist was elected to the seat previously held by former Board Vice President Steve Slockett who served two four-year terms.
The voters of Fayette County also re-elected current board member Cindy Whitlock to another four-year term who attended Monday evening’s meeting remotely.
The board also formally elected officers for the new term.
Board member Pat Gray was voted Board President while Gary Ray was voted Board Vice President.
