BEVERLY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man was arrested on possession charges Saturday following an altercation at Shockey Auto Sales in Beverly.
According to reports from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department, at 3:39pm on Saturday, Deputy T.J Knotts and Deputy S.R. Davis responded to an emergency call indicating a fight taking place at Shockey Auto Sales in the Beverly area.
Upon arrival of the deputies, a male who would be identified as Jeremey Webb could be seen speaking with WV State Troopers Sgt. Burge and Trooper Clark.
Responding authorities were informed by those on scene that the male had allegedly been involved in an altercation which had taken place prior to their arrival, and that neither party intended to pursue charges.
Webb then left the scene, at which point officers began speaking with other family members involved.
The defendant’s sister-in-law informed Knotts that the defendant was in her driveway behaving erratically. She then produced live footage of a ring camera showing Webb in her driveway cursing, pulling down his pants to expose his buttocks, and behaving erratically.
Officers responded to the residence, which was across the street from the auto sales location, where the defendant could be observed walking around shirtless.
Upon the officers’ arrival, the defendant put his shirt back on and got back into his vehicle.
Officers detected the scent of marijuana emitting from the vehicle, at which point the defendant was detained after being instructed to exit the vehicle.
After confirming the lack of a medical marijuana prescription, a probable cause search was conducted and revealed approximately 7.66 grams of a substance consistent with marijuana in the console along with a rubber smoking apparatus.
Also found were 1.5 Xanax Bars in a small baggie in the defendant’s wallet.
Webb was arrested on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance x2 and was transported to Tygart Valley Regional Jail to await arraignment.
