BARBOUR COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A father fires a shot at his son, claiming her would shoot him if he returned after the son departed from the home.
On August 3, 2024, officers responded to a domestic disturbance involving a firearm at 48 Stardust Ln, Philippi, WV 26416, in Barbour County.
Upon arrival, DFC C. Parks and another officer made contact with Christopher Lamkin, hereafter referred to as the Defendant. The Defendant reported that he had a verbal argument with his son, referred to here as the Victim, regarding the Victim’s departure from the home.
The Defendant then brandished a .22 caliber handgun, fired one shot, and warned the Victim that he would shoot him if he returned. One officer, with the Defendant’s consent, seized the firearm used in the incident, a .22 caliber Puma 1911, serial number D25625.
During this process, the officer found a spent .22 caliber casing lodged in the barrel. Subsequently, the officer placed the Defendant under arrest for the crime. The Defendant faces one count of wanton endangerment involving a firearm.
