FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Fayetteville’s First Fridays are back for 2024, a unique experience for locals and visitors alike.
The second First Fridays event of the year will kick off this evening at 5 PM.
Organized by the Fayetteville Merchants, this vibrant event will transform downtown Fayetteville into a bustling hub of activity on the first Friday of each month from May through November.
First Fridays offer extended shopping hours, inviting attendees to explore the unique shops, boutiques, and galleries that line the streets of Fayetteville.
As businesses stay open late, visitors can enjoy a leisurely evening of retail therapy.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, Court Street will be closed to traffic to host an artisan market.
Here, talented local and regional vendors will showcase their handmade goods, arts, and crafts.
From jewelry by Daisy Hill Jewelry to prints by Dave Mele and unique ceramics from Slowdrift Ceramics, there is something to capture everyone’s interest.
The event will also feature an array of food trucks serving up a variety of delicious local fare to satisfy all taste buds.
Live music and entertainment will also be a part of the festivities adding to a perfect evening out for families, friends, and solo adventurers.

For those interested in becoming a vendor, it’s important to note that all participants must obtain a permit from the Town of Fayetteville.
Food truck vendors are also required to meet the Fayette County Health Department’s standards and secure a food truck permit.
An application and a juried selection process are mandatory for all vendors, ensuring a high-quality experience for attendees.
Vendor setup begins at 4:30 PM, following the road closure, with the event running from 5 PM to 8 PM. Break down will start promptly at 8 PM.
As a result of the event, Court St. will be closed this evening between Maple and Wiseman Ave. from 5 PM to 8 PM.
