BLUEWELL, WV (LOOTPRESS) – High-intensity storms caused disturbances across the state over the weekend, with fire department crews and line worker crews remaining busy throughout much of the duration.
The Bluewell Fire Department on Sunday responded to the Brushfork Road area when reports were received of a tree having fallen into a single-wide trailer.
Engine 4 was dispatched to the scene, and upon arrival crews noted the impact of sizeable branches which had fallen onto a residential trailer.
Large weeping willow branches are said to have broken off from the tree itself and landed not only on the residence, but also on a nearby vacant vehicle. Branches and debris could also be seen to have blocked of the roadway near the residence.
This was but a number of calls addressed by fire department crews throughout the Brushfork Road area into Nemours. The Bluewell and Bluefield, Virginia Fire Departments worked in conjunction with one another over the weekend to address a number of these issues following the aforementioned weather events.
