WASHINGTON, D.C. (LOOTPRESS) — Former President Bill Clinton, 78, has been admitted to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital after developing a fever, according to a statement from his deputy chief of staff, Angel Ureña.
“President Clinton has been admitted for testing and observation after experiencing a fever,” Ureña said Monday. “He is in good spirits and grateful for the care he is receiving.”
A source close to the 42nd president emphasized that the situation is “not urgent.” “The former president will be fine,” the source said. “He developed a fever and wanted to be checked out. He is awake and alert.”
Clinton has had a history of health challenges since leaving office in 2001. In 2004, he underwent a quadruple bypass surgery at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, followed by another heart procedure in 2010, during which two stents were placed in a coronary artery.
In 2021, he was hospitalized in California for six days due to a urological infection that spread to his bloodstream.
As of now, no further updates on Clinton’s condition have been provided.
