WILLIAMSON, WV (LOOTPRESS) โ A free used tire drop off event has been announced for Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the Williamson Water Plant parking lot.
The event will be free to all West Virginia residents, and will take place from 9:00 to 5:00 this Saturday.
To reach the Williamson Water Plant location at which the event will be held, turn on to East Third Avenue from Vinson Street and drive through the flood wall gate.
Those participating in the drop off event should have their West Virginia ID ready at sign in.
There is a 10 tire limit in place which will be strictly enforced.
Only tires from cars or light trucks will be accepted at the event, and no business or tire dealer tires should be brought for drop off.
This event is brought to residents by Friends of the Tug Fork River, Rehabilitation Environmental Action Plan (REAP), the WV Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), the City of Williamson, the Mingo County Solid Waste Authority, and VEOLIA Environmental Services.
