Covington, Va. – Greenbrier West improved to 2-0 on the season with a 63-34 win over Covington Saturday night.
Abigail Thomas led the Cavaliers with 15 points and nine steals, while Meagan Poticher added 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds.
Preslee Treadway also scored 12 points for West and had five steals and five rebounds. Maddie Fields chipped in seven points and eight steals, while Brilee Redden scored 10 points in the win.
Greenbrier West (2-0) hosts Tygarts Valley Wednesday.

Morgantown – Gracie Harvey scored 15 points and Abby Persinger added 14 points to lead Summers County past Hampshire in the Vision Homes Invitational.
Sully Pivont scored nine points and Avery Lilly had eight. The Bobcats made all 13 of their foul shot attempts and outscored Hampshire by 10 points in the second half.
Hannah Ault led the Trojans with 15 points and Liz Pryor had 11 points.

Gardner – Mercer Christian knocked down seven 3-pointers and cruised past Shady Spring 62-34 Saturday at PikeView High School.
Kayley Trump led the Crusaders with a double-double scoring 19 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. She also had six assists, five blocks and four steals.
Ella Botts scored 13 points and had nine rebounds, while Karis Trump added 11 points and also pulled down nine boards.
Braylie Wiseman led the Tigers with nine points.
