Summersville – Class A No. 7 Greenbrier West knocked off regional rival River View 60-50 Monday morning at the Winter Classic played inside the Summersville Arena and Conference Center.
The Cavaliers erased a nine-point first quarter deficit by erupting for a 26-9 second quarter and never trailed the rest of he way.
All-stater Preslee Treadway, who missed a game due to a medical issue that required surgery, returned to lead Greenbrier West with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
Maddie Fields also had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Brilee Redden added eight points for the Cavs.
Kaci Hatfield led the No. 4-ranked Raiders with 16 points, while Kaylee Blankenship scored 15 points. Lilly Perkins grabbed 11 rebounds.

Summersville – Summit Christian Academy rolled past New Life Christian, 60-10 Monday morning in the Winter Classic at the Summersville Arena and Conference Center.
Ella Botts led the Falcons (6-3) with a rare quadruple-double scoring 19 points, grabbing 19 rebounds, handing out 19 assists and recording 17 steals.
Bailee Martin followed with 17 points, and six assists, while Abby Greer scored 12 points.

South Charleston – The Lady Red Devils went on the road Monday and knocked off regional rival South Charleston 64-62 in double-overtime.
Trailing by three points in the first extra session, Jada Wilburn drilled a 3-pointer with one second on the clock to send the game to double-overtime where the Red Devils pulled out the win.
Addy Isaacs paced Oak Hill with 20 points and Taysia Gray added 14. Natalie Craddock scored nine, while Wilburn had eight and Kasey Compton scored five.
Landyn Brisco-Lambert led four Black Eagles on double figures with 14 points.

Summersville – No storms moved through Nicholas County Monday, but Independence suffered through a power outage at the Winter Classic inside the Summersville Arena and Conference Center.
Unable to solve the Webster County zone defense, the Patriots were held to single digits in each quarter in a 37-22 setback to the Highlanders.
Harley Clevenger led Webster with 13 points and Josie Mathes had 10. Harmony Mills tallied eight for Independence and Lacey Goodson scored seven.

Destyni Farrish added 13 points and had three steals, while Aislinn Pelfrey added seven points and had a team-high 15 rebounds. Braelyn Farrish added five points, eight rebounds, nine assists and five steals.
Kalleigh Price and Emma Wilkerson had two points each.
