Hico – Midland Trail opened its season with a 49-30 win over Westside Tuesday in Hico.
Addie Issacs was in midseason form, scoring a game-high 19 points in the win for the Patriots. Rumor Barnhouse added 10 points with Raelyn Morris chipping in 11.
Kaitlyn Lester led Westside with 12 points in the loss.
