Charleston – Tucker County held Tyler Consolidated to 20 percent shooting (10 of 49) from the floor Wednesday morning to secure a 64-31 victory in a Class A quarterfinal matchup in the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center.
In addition to holding the Knights off the board for long stretches the Mountain Lions forced them into 31 turnovers with 22 coming on steals.
Raven Matthews led Tucker with 13 points and rebounds while Ericka Kirk finished with 11 points.
Braeden Wall led Tyler with 10 points in the loss.
Tucker, last year’s state runner-up, returns to Class A Semis where it will face the winner of River View-Gilmer County on Friday at 7:15 p.m.
