BOLT, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A GoFundMe has been started for the family of an AEP lineman who was fatally injured while working in Bolt on Friday.
According to Appalachian Power, one AEP employee was fatally injured and two others were injured Friday evening while assisting with service restoration in Bolt in Raleigh County.
Friends and community members have come together to pay tribute and remember fallen AEP lineman Robbie Key.
“We lost one of our AEP linemen this week here in WV. Robbie Key. He left behind his wife & high school sweetheart – and his 2 children, He helped coach [the] football team & was an active youth wrestling coach,” the LineLife Foundation stated in a Facebook post.
Family friend Kim Riner has started a GoFundMe page to assist the Key family.

“We all know that Robbie was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, leader, mentor, and co-worker. He touched so many lives and it’s heartwarming to hear all the stories and memories he left for us to cherish. This is surreal and has brought so much heartache to all that knew him,” Riner wrote in the description of the fundraiser.
The LineLife Foundation is also accepting donations for the Key family and says those that would like to donate are asked to please visit www.linelifefoundation.com, hit the donate button, and put Keys in the Notes section. All donations will be sent to Keys’ wife.
