HINTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man is in jail after allegedly beating another man with a pipe.
According to Hinton Police, on Sunday, February 28, 2021, a call came in about a man who had been beaten with a pipe and was badly bleeding. The officer was dispatched to the alley between 11th, and 12th avenue at around 12:45 am. While en route, the officer observed Samuel Moore and his girlfriend Jatoya Galloway walking quickly down the Avis bridge.
When the officer spoke to the victim, the victim told him that Samuel Moore had beaten him with a pipe inside his home. The officer observed a severe laceration to the victim’s head and another to his hand. The victim was transported to Beckley ARH for treatment.
The suspect, Samuel Moore, was located on Pleasant St. and was placed under arrest for malicious wounding. Police observed a small drop of what appeared to be blood on the jacket’s sleeve, but Mr. Moore said someone gave him the clothes.
Moore is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 25,000 dollar bond.
