BEACH LICK, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A suspect in has been arrested in connection with a homicide which reportedly occurred on Friday.
According to the Barbour County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 8:00 am on Saturday morning, Law Enforcement was notified of a suspicious individual in the Beech Lick area of WV Route 57.
Deputy C. Whited of the Barbour County Sheriff’s Department observed a male subject in the area in question fitting the description of the suspect in Fridays homicide in the Philippi area.
A brief standoff ensued between Deputy Whited and the subject, and Deputy Whited was able to de-escalate the situation.
Michael Mussi was then taken into custody without incident, and officers from the investigating agency Philippi Police Department, West Virginia State Police, and other Deputies from Barbour County Sheriff’s Department arrived moments later to provide assistance.
