BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Just for Kids Child Advocacy Center’s Trudy’s House location received some exciting site improvements after being selected as the featured community service project for Aspen Landscaping.
The folks at Aspen Landscaping took it upon themselves to assist with essential maintenance and improvements at Just for Kids’ 611 North Kanawha Street location. This entailed the implementation of a comprehensive range of landscape services, including mowing, pruning, edging, mulching, general clean-up, and installation of new plants to enhance the grounds.
The decision of Aspen to show its continued support for Just for Kids through its selection as a featured community service project was a simple one, according to Aspen Landscaping Manager, Mike Osborne.
“[At] Aspen Corporation, we do community projects and have over the years. Doing this for Just for Kids was a no-brainer for us,” said Osborne. “The good that they’re doing for these kids and in our community; this is our way of helping these kids and these lovely people here at Just for Kids.”
Just for Kids, Inc. Executive Director, Dr. Deanee’ Johnson expressed excitement with regard to the site improvements, remarking that the updated space will contribute to the organization’s continued efforts toward providing support for children and families.
“We are absolutely grateful for [Aspen’s] selection to provide us with the landscaping. They’re redoing everything…really making a beautiful space for the families that come here,” said Dr. Johnson of the project. “It’s just a great feeling. So when families come to the center they feel more welcome [and] they are able to enjoy the outside space.”
