WEST VIRGINIA (LOOTPRESS) โ Little Caesars locations across West Virginia, along with select stores in Kentucky and Ohio, are launching the 6th annual Pizza Pizza Paws Campaign to support police K-9 handlers.
Throughout April, participating stores will raise funds to provide essential equipment for more than 200 K-9 teams.
Handlers will have the option to receive a Ray Allen Icon Air Harness, a Ray Allen Leather Agitation Muzzle, or a Tractive GPS Tracker.
The campaign aims to raise $30,000, with fundraising thermometers displayed at 66 participating Little Caesars locationsโ52 in West Virginia, 6 in Kentucky, and 8 in Ohio.
The fundraiser highlights the financial challenges many K-9 units face, as some rely heavily on donations and personal contributions from handlers.
โItโs an honor for us to help support the police K-9 divisions,โ said Vicki Dunn-Marshall, franchisee and owner of VDM Management Group. โFrom tracking, drug searches and criminal apprehension the K-9 officers are a great value that makes our communities a safer place to live and work.โ
Marketing Director Sabrina Donahue-Moore expressed appreciation for community involvement.
โWe as a community can step up and help. We want to thank our customers for their support so far and a big thank you to the officers and their K-9 partners for putting their lives on the line daily.โ
William Rose, President of the West Virginia Police Canine Association, highlighted the campaignโs impact.
โThis campaign has been and continues to be a great benefit to K-9 handlers, offering supplies and tools that many departments wouldnโt
be able to purchase. Helping us, our K-9 partners, aides in serving and protecting our communities.โ
Since its inception in 2019, the Pizza Pizza Paws Campaign has supplied critical equipment to K-9 teams:
- 2019: 85 handlers received duffle first aid kits.
- 2020: Campaign canceled due to COVID-19.
- 2021: 100 handlers received DOGTRA GPS tracking collars.
- 2022: 170 handlers received an โEssentials Kitโ (collar, leash, CamelBak, etc.).
