LOGAN COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A suspect is facing charges after being found rolling on the ground screaming profanities in his underwear.
According to authorities, Teddy Nelson, of Peach Creek, WV, was observed in his underwear and a long sleeve Chapmanville shirt rolling around on the ground screaming profanities. While trying to talk to Nelson, he became irate and started shouting at the officer several times, “F*&^ you,” and holding up his middle finger.
Nelson refused to compile with the officer’s commands, grabbed the officer’s pants, and balled up his fist like he was going to punch his leg. The officer then administered pepper spray, which calmed him down. Once the pepper spray started wearing off, he became combative again.
Nelson had a capias for obstructing an officer out of magistrate court in December 2022.
Nelson was charged with obstructing and resisting an officer, assault on a police officer, disorderly conduct, and public intoxication. He is being held in Southwestern Regional Jail under a 1,000 dollar bond.
