SOUTH CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One man has been arrested after stabbing an individual in the face at a gas station claiming the victim poisoned him.
According to a criminal complaint, on Friday, June 14, 2024, at approximately 9:47 PM, officers with the South Charleston Police Department were dispatched to Speedway on MacCorkle Avenue in reference to a stabbing.
Upon arrival, it was learned that the suspect, 46-year-old Denver Sirbaugh got out of his vehicle after parking it at the intersection of MacCorkle Avenue and Rock Lake Drive and approached the victim.
Sirbaugh then began cursing at the victim and telling him that he had poisoned him, according to the complaint.
Sirbaugh then struck the victim on the left side of the face with a knife causing the victim to have an incised wound that began to bleed heavily.
Sirbaugh was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding. He is currently at South Central Regional Jail on a $50,000 cash-only bond.
