LOGAN COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Logan County man is arrested for public intoxication, throwing hands in the air, trying to punch the sky.
On Saturday, June 29, 2024, Deputy C.L. Carter from the Logan County Sheriff’s Department was on routine road patrol in the City of Logan. Deputy Carter noticed a man leaving the Exxon gas station near Dingess Street, crossing the street in front of oncoming traffic, and then walking onto Main Street.
Upon reaching the sidewalk, the man kicked the window of a nearby business and started waving his hands in the air, trying to punch the sky.
A member of the City of Logan Fire Department intervened for safety reasons, especially because children were present at a nearby event. The fire department member restrained the man until law enforcement could arrive.
Upon arrival, Deputy Carter identified the man as Mr. Randy Bartram. During a search of Mr. Bartram, Deputy Carter found and disposed of an almost empty bottle of alcohol in a nearby trash bin. Mr. Bartram admitted to drinking since the morning of the incident.
Teh man arrested for public intoxication, Mr. Bartram was taken to the Southwestern Regional Jail.
