DRENNEN, W.V. (LOOTPRESS) – A man was arrested in Nicholas County earlier this week after murdering his girlfriend.
According to a news release from the Nicholas County Sheriff’s Office, Matthew Dale Thomas, 42, has been charged with the murder of his girlfriend, Terri Gwinn Lucas, 62, and is currently being held at Central Regional Jail.
On Sunday, Jan. 3, Thomas and Lucas got into a physical altercation. During the argument, Thomas grabbed a knife and proceeded to stab Lucas multiple times.
The sheriff’s office stated that the incident, which took place in Drennen, is still under investigation. There is no further information to release at this time.
