BARBOUR COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One man has been arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop.
According to the Barbour County Sheriff’s Office, on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at approximately 2:00 am, Deputy Christian Mayle and his partner Creed made a traffic stop on a white pick-up truck in Junior in Barbour County for traffic violations.
After a brief investigation, K-9 Creed was deployed for an open-air sniff of the vehicle. Creed alerted on the vehicle.
As a result of the search a set of digital scales, 1.71 grams of presumed methamphetamine, 2.04 grams of presumed Heroin, and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
Jonathan Paul Meador, 34, of Vinton Virginia was charged with 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
He is currently at Tygart Valley Regional Jail on a $20,000 bond.
