LEON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man is arrested after he assaulted a pregnant woman and her mother.
In the early hours of Monday, September 23, 2024, Mason County deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at 312 Pickens Lane. The incident occurred at approximately 2:46 a.m., after Control 911 received a call from a witness about the altercation.
Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the ex-girlfriend of the defendant and the defendant’s mother. Both women reported that the defendant, Tyler Greene, had been drinking and became enraged following a recent breakup. The ex-girlfriend, who is ten weeks pregnant with the defendant’s child, had received a call from him but could not understand him due to his intoxication. Concerned, she went to the house to check on the situation.
The mother had locked the door to keep the defendant outside as he acted belligerently, but the defendant kicked the door in, entered the kitchen, and began kicking the counter, damaging it, and then the refrigerator. When the mother attempted to intervene, the defendant pushed her. The ex-girlfriend stepped in to protect her mother, but the defendant pushed her as well.
A friend who was present during the incident managed to pull the defendant outside to stop the escalating violence. However, after the friend left, the defendant continued his aggressive behavior, prompting her to call 911.
The defendant was taken into custody, and charges are pending for domestic battery and property damage.
