HUNTINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One individual faces multiple charges in relation to a domestic incident which occurred in a vehicle last month.
Cabell County Magistrate Court documents indicate that, on Thursday, October 26, 2023, a domestic report was filed with the Huntington detachment of the West Virginia State Police detailing the incident in question.
The victim involved in the incident reported that on October 23, 2023, or October 24, 2023, she had been driving with her boyfriend near 8th Street in the Huntington area when the two began to engage in a verbal dispute.
While driving, the victim reportedly yelled for help out the window, prompting the male involved – identified as Paul Marsolek, 48 years old – to block the window before grabbing her by the hair and proceeding to choke her.
The victim stated that, while unable to breathe, she began to kick the dash of the vehicle before “blacking out” – losing consciousness for a full minute.
Authorities were advised by the victim that the incident occurred three-to-four days prior to the filing of the report, though it remains unclear exactly when the incident took place.
Court documents indicate that, based on this report, Paul Marsolek faces charges of Domestic Battery and Strangulation.
